St Barth Gourmet Festival 2018: The first international festival of food in the Caribbean.
Known for its superb dining scene, the tiny French island is often described as a foodie’s paradise thanks to the impressive variety and quality of its restaurants. Here, French, Créole and international flavors blend effortlessly, offering something to titillate the taste buds of even the most discerning of diners. It is no surprise then that St Barts would host a gourmet festival with distinguished chefs hailing from around the world as special guests. This is where you come into the picture: with cooking classes from the masters, chef contests and gourmet dinners expertly prepared in collaboration with local executive chefs, St. Barth Gourmet Festival gives you a unique opportunity to sample one-of-a-kind menus in a different restaurant every night, with the turquoise Caribbean Sea stretching out below. Life doesn’t get any better than this…
Sunshine, crystal-clear waters, and award-winning cuisine—do you need any other reason to head to St Barts this fall?
From 1st to 4th November will take place the 5th edition of the Saint-Barth Gourmet Festival. Bringing together figures of French haute cuisine, this year’s event will be sponsored by Nicolas Sale, head of the Table de l’Espadon ** and the Jardins de l’Espadon * at the Ritz Paris and elected by his peers Head of the year 2017 at the Trophies awarded by the magazine Le Chef. He will be surrounded by five chefs: Virginie Basselot (Le Chantecler ** and La Rotonde at Negresco in Nice), Pierre Augé (Petit Pierre’s House in Béziers), Edouard Loubet (Édouard Loubet restaurant ** at Domaine de Capelongue in Bonnieux), Cédric Béchade (La Table restaurant * at the Auberge Basque in Saint-Jean-de-Luz) and Serge Labrosse (La Chaumière de Troinex in Geneva). During the three dinners of the festival, each of them will propose, as in previous years, a menu in several services to make discover to the hosts of the island their cooking and their signature creations.
